At the Von Voigtlander Women’s Hospital, we offer three models of pregnancy and childbirth providers to our patients. Our patients benefit from the ability to select a caregiver that closely matches your own personal philosophies and preferences. No matter which type of provider you choose, you can count on an individualized experience where you and your family are at the center of the decision-making process every step of the way.
Our care provider teams include:
- Obstetrician – Physicians with expertise in routine pregnancy as well as more complex pregnancy, also able to perform cesarean sections, and can provide routine gynecologic care for you after the baby's birth
- Nurse-Midwives – specialists in normal pregnancy and birth, focusing on education and individualized care, including varied choices in prenatal care and birthing options
- Family Medicine – doctors who will not only care for you throughout your pregnancy, but also care for your baby after birth, providing services for your whole family
Families also benefit from the fact that our Birth Center nursing teams are trained and experienced working with each type of provider, ensuring that each patient benefits from the full depth of expertise offered across the board through the Von Voigtlander Women’s Hospital.
For patients with complications or high risk pregnancies, our high risk pregnancy team is available and works hand-in-hand with each of our pregnancy and childbirth caregiving teams to ensure that each mother receives the appropriate level of care needed for her own individual needs.
